The objective of being human is to grow. We see this reflected in every part of life. Species reproduce, DNA evolves, and the edges of the Universe are expanding forever outward. Likewise, our ability to feel the depth and beauty of life, is capable of forever expanding inward if we are willing to take our problems and see them as catalysts.
Everything in nature is imperfect, and it is because of these imperfections that growth is possible. Without breaks, gaps and faults, nothing could grow and nothing would become. The fact that we are imperfect is not a sign that we have failed; it is a sign that we are human. More importantly, it is a sign that we still have more potential.
When we arrive at a breaking point, maybe we have been thrown into the fire, or it’s the night we wake up and simply have had enough of being small, these are moments when we are at the crux of breaking open. If we are willing to do the work, we will find that this breaking open is the entryway to our own breakthrough! The breakthrough we’ve been waiting for…
Our old self can no longer sustain the life we are trying to lead, and we know that now is the time for reinvention and rebirth. We must release our old self into the fire, and be willing to think in a way that perhaps we have never tried before or forgotten was within us. We can mourn the loss of our younger self, the person who has gotten us this far but who is no longer equipped to carry us beyond. We must envision and become one with our future self, the hero of our lives that is going to lead us from here. The journey in front of us is silent, simple and monumental. It is a fear most do not get to the point of attempting. We must practice agility, resilience, and self understanding. We must change completely, never to be the same again.
This moment is “the calling” of our life, our purpose for being here, our path finally made clear. The process, the journey of getting here will always stay with us. When we get to the end of our lives, we will begin to see that all of our challenges were opportunities to acknowledge our gifts. Now is the time to master our gifts.
Mastery is to realize that we are equipped with the exact traits we need to overcome anything before us, and in fact doing this is the ultimate calling of our lives. To know with every cell in our being that we are more than capable, we are destined.
Don’t leave any potential untapped.
Claim it.
Create it.
LIFE begins when we breakthrough.
in gratitude,
